Peter is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in Business Finance and has earned the CIMA® designation (Certified Investment Management Analyst SM) from The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.  After his pitching days with the NY Mets minor league system, Peter joined Morgan Stanley in 1999 and has over 22 years’ experience in the industry and is the founder of The Princi Group which has offices in Boston and NY.  The group consults on and manages over 10 billion of assets for institutional and high net worth clients.

Peter is chairman of the insurance division under Graystone Consulting at Morgan Stanley which has over 25 billion in assets under management.

Of Peter’s many recognitions he was ranked #1 consultant in the country (out of roughly 100,000) in the annual “Top 40 Under 40” On Wall Street magazine in 2014 and in 2016-2023 was ranked in the Top 100 consultants by Barron’s Magazine, with the most recent ranking in 2023 of #34 in the country (#1 in Massachusetts) out of about 600,000 registered consultants/advisors in the US (according to FINRA).  In addition, Forbes Magazine ranked him in the top 100 wealth managers from 2015-2023 and with a recent ranking of #42 in the country.  As a Managing Director of Graystone and The Princi Group, Peter is the lead in the management and service of the Princi Groups’ relationships which include insurance companies (both offshore and onshore), High net worth clients, family offices, foundations, and endowments. He focuses his time on the creation of the investment and spending policy statements, determining strategic and tactical asset allocation policies, investment ideas and themes, manager selection and monitoring portfolio results. Peter serves on the committee for alternative Investments and Socially Responsible/Impact investing at Morgan Stanley as well as several outside foundation and endowment boards. In his time away from work, enjoys playing golf, skiing, fishing, and coaching his 3 boys summer baseball teams.
