The Bermuda Captive Conference was created in 2004 to help promote, support and grow the island’s world-leading captive insurance industry sector. The three-day conference is Bermuda’s largest and longest-running industry event, held every June, attracting more than 800 delegates, half from overseas.

 
 

Bermuda is the largest global hub of captive insurance

Attendees include captive insurance owners, risk managers, sponsors, vendors, plus legal, audit, banking and support services from Bermuda, North America, Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the United Kingdom.

Leslie Robinson, J.P., ACII

Over 30 years of experience

Leslie has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector in Bermuda, with over 19 years in captive management and broking and almost 11 years as a financial services regulator, with focus on company incorporations and the licensing of insurance companies.

Leslie began her career in captive management in 1989 with Johnson & Higgins (Bermuda) Limited. In 1994 she transferred to J&H Intermediaries, where she was employed as an Insurance Broker and specialized in Casualty & D&O lines of cover. Her work experience in captive management over the years that followed included Senior Underwriter & Team Leader at Sedgwick Management; AVP, Insurance Officer at International Risk Management; and Partner – Manager of Underwriting & Claims at JLT Risk Solutions. In 2005 Leslie joined Ariel Reinsurance where she was Vice President and Head of Technical Underwriting Services.
