Marco Giacomelli heads the IGP global employee benefits network, Manulife and John Hancock’s business unit dedicated to offering employee benefits solutions to multinational corporations.

IGP is a leading provider of coordinated employee benefits programs such as multinational pooling, reinsurance to captive and global underwriting programs.

An actuary and former Navy officer with a 30-year career in the global insurance market, with assignments of increasing responsibility in Italy, USA, Philippines, Belgium and United Kingdom, Marco joined IGP in July 2021.

Marco’s career includes several leadership roles in the Assicurazioni Generali group, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Generali Global Health (UK) and Chief Insurance Officer of the Generali Employee Benefits network.

Marco is the former Chairman of the International Employee Benefits Association (IEBA), and a Fellow of the UK Institute of Directors.
