Amy Wolfinger

Session: Healthcare Risk: Medical Stop Loss and Employee Benefits
Amy runs the Healthcare team at Ascot, a market-leading specialist in North American Healthcare risks. Thought leaders and innovative underwriters, Ascot insures large prominent health systems and provides bespoke programs for smaller hospitals, senior care providers, physician groups, allied health, and life science companies.
She began her career underwriting at Liberty Mutual and St Paul in Boston before relocating to Bermuda. Amy took a 16-year hiatus from underwriting as a broker at Artex and Aon, working with healthcare insureds and developing new products including pandemic response cover in 2014 (well before the time of covid-19!), before moving to Ascot in 2021.
Amy has extensive experience working with healthcare captives, crafting unique (re)insurance solutions, and is an expert on the Bermuda “004” Form. She has presented on or moderated panels at PLUS, The Bermuda Healthcare Forum, ASHRM, and the BDA Executive Conference. She holds a BS from Clemson University and the CPCU and ARM designations.
