Session: Regulatory Roadmap: Navigating Bermuda's Captive Regulator Landscape

As Assistant Director, Supervision (Insurance), Timae Flood is responsible for managing the Authority’s relationship with the Captive market via engagement meetings with companies, service providers and associations. Ms. Flood also leads a team monitoring limited purpose insurers’ activity through review and analysis of complex insurer returns, applications, and financial and prudential filings, as well as overseeing regulatory compliance with laws, regulations, codes, plans, licence restrictions and procedures.

Ms Flood joined the Authority in 2005 as an Analyst in the Supervision (Insurance) Department. In this role, among other duties, she analysed Bermuda’s regulated insurance companies. Ms Flood was promoted to Assistant Director in 2015.

Ms Flood holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Hartford in Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, Ms Flood earned the Associate in Captive Insurance designation with the International Center for Captive Insurance Education.
