Michael is Counsel and the Legal and Compliance Leader for Marsh McLennan entities in the islands region which comprises of Bermuda, Cayman Islands and Barbados. He has over twenty  years of experience in the field of insurance and regulatory affairs. He represents MMC on numerous Boards and Committees and a is qualified mediator and Notary Public.

Michael was a Bermuda Government Minister from 2012 to 2017 and Leader of the Bermuda Senate and remains a passionate advocate for Bermuda. He trained as a solicitor in the City of London where he worked for five years before returning to Bermuda as an Associate at Appleby before moving in-house with Marsh.

He is a graduate of McMaster University in Canada and the College of Law in Guildford, UK.
