Nekisha Tyrrell has been with HSBC Group since 2009 and currently serves as the Lead Underwriter for HSBC Insurance (Bermuda) Ltd., the Group’s Captive insurance company. In this role, Kisha plays a pivotal part in HSBC’s internal risk financing model for the Property & Casualty business and the insurable employee benefits (IEBs), including health, life, and disability plans.

Managing HSBC’s IEBs, requires Kisha to collaborates closely with Global Stakeholders in Insurable Risk, Human Resources, and Procurement teams to manage over 200 IEB plans globally, following the HSBC Group standard approved in 2013. Nekisha ensures that all risks underwritten by the Captive, including IEBs and Property and Casualty risks, align with HSBC’s goals and are continuously monitored. Her responsibilities also include building and maintaining relationships with global brokers, fronting insurers, and various internal stakeholders. Kisha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance and Finance from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, USA, and a Master of Science in Marketing and Management from the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. She also holds the prestigious Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, underscoring her expertise and commitment to the field.
