Current Responsibilities 

As a Managing Director with Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC, Gary Bischel leads the health care provider segment for the Healthcare and & Life Specialty Practice and works with a variety of healthcare payers, providers, and captive insurance companies focusing primarily on their medical reinsurance and stop loss needs. His responsibilities entail coordinating the firm's activities within the healthcare industry including new business production, client relationship management and developing capacity in the reinsurance markets. 

Experience 

Prior to joining Guy Carpenter in September of 2013, Gary held positions with various reinsurance intermediaries focused on the healthcare market. He began his career in 1992 as an auditor at Ernst & Young before entering the reinsurance business with Allianz Life in 1995. 

Education 

• BA in Accounting, Saint John’s University 

• MBA with a concentration in Finance, University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management
